Brenden and his friend Todd came down from DC to visit his father Mike Wagner for a day of Naples charter fishing. What a good choice too as it the perfect day.After filling the live well with live bait one toss of the 10′ cast net we chummed up the king fish spanish mackerel and bonito. It was non stop action on light tackle. Some of the kings were in the 30 lb class and a few sharks moved in on us taking a few of our Spanish mackerel, so I uped the tackle size to 40 lb class and free lined a live mackerel on the surface. Todd caught this 100 lb black tip shark after a 25 minute battle. Brenden tried his luck with the same technique only to be stripped of by a much lager fish so we moved up to the 100 lb class and caught this 350 lb Goliath grouper after a 40 minute fight. What a great day Charter fishing in Naples. Good fun had by all. See you for next years Naples charter fishing trip and remember to eat your Wheaties!
